What will your story be?

The journey was long, and you are weary deep down in your bones. Your clothes are worn and your body scarred. You have struggled over the last year. As you crest the final hill, you see before you a small valley with a gentle slope rising to the horizon. The valley is bridged and placed just before stands a warm and inviting cabin. Smoke curls out of the chimney ... the door is open ... the lights are on ... you step inside.
There, you find a new set of clothes and a delicious meal. On the table is a package addressed to you. Curious, you open it and find an invitation, which reads:
Â
"Weary traveler, stay for a bit and rest. Take time and reflect on your journey thus far:
How does your story read? Are you the hero or the villain?
In what ways have you grown?
What new strengths have you discovered?
When have you succeeded, despite the odds that were against you?
Who or what helped you get this far?
Where does your moral compass point? Are you satisfied with this direction?
Why were you chosen for this time?
What new tools and experiences will you take with you for the road ahead?
When you have regained your strength and renewed your vision, step forward boldly and renew your journey."
Â
Time passes, and you--relaxed in body, renewed in vision, refreshed in spirit--jauntily walk out the door. 2025 lies across the bridge, and you have a story to write!
